At Advance Chiropractic, in addition to chiropractic therapy, Dr. Weatherall offers custom foot orthotics.
Chiropractic is a natural healing art and science based on the fact that your body has recuperative, self-healing capabilities, and that there is a correlation between your skeletal structure and its optimum function.
Chiropractors are primarily interested in your overall health with a focus on your spine, joints, and muscles. Specialized, professional training enables chiropractors to quickly guide you to the best and most appropriate health care treatment.
Where chiropractors excel is in examining and diagnosing those non-emergency areas of pain and discomfort that affect your sense of well-being and daily activities, areas you might have a hard time understanding or identifying. Chiropractors are specifically trained to address these kinds of ongoing and recurring symptoms and to recommend the best treatment for you.
The areas chiropractic is most effective in treating include
Often, these areas respond remarkably well to the non-invasive and drug-free hands-on techniques of chiropractic. These techniques have been proven over time, and they owe their efficacy to the profession's dedication to obtaining results. Chiropractors also use modern tools and techniques to rehabilitate injuries and dysfunction. The chiropractic profession is committed to a continuous evaluation and re-evaluation of its methods and practice, guided by its primary commitment to your health.
We offer high-quality custom made foot orthotics manufactured by The Orthotic Group (TOG) and Orthotic Energy to help reduce the effects caused by improper ankle and foot function (see Custom foot orthotics).
Custom made orthotics can play an integral role in the overall treatment of many problems of the spine and extremities. They can help increase mechanical efficiency at the ankle and foot to reduce abnormal biomechanical stress on the body by maintaining proper ankle and foot joint function and by preventing excess motion and increasing shock absorption. They may also be used as a vehicle for permanent internal lifts to correct leg length inequalities to improve overall body biomechanics.
Dr. Weatherall has taken additional training in orthotic therapy from TOG's expert instructors. Dr. Weatherall provides to TOG or Orthotic Energy castings based on impressions of your feet along with any special recommendations for additions or changes to the orthotic as determined by consultation and examination. Orthotics are often prepared under the diagnosis and prescription of a medical physician. The Orthotic Group uses the casts and additional information to produce a custom orthotic foot brace.
Custom orthotics are covered in whole or part by most supplemental insurance plans. Also, the prescription rights for orthotics varies, so be sure to check what your plan covers.
